They are still in business but closed from 2 pm to 5 pm so often looks deserted. They have by far the best asian food in the Birmingham region. Also they're closed for two months starting today because the owner is having a knee replacement

No buffet, but if you think about it, any Chinese restaurant that does buffet is usually sub par at best. I mean why do you think they let you get all you want? To get rid of it. While I still love Formosa, I'd have to admit Red Pearl is the best.
